Do I look happy?

Well, I am and it is not from drinking any of the wine displayed behind me at coffee shop.

Michelle was good enough to snap a picture for me so I could now call this project done!

Started a cute, easy little lace piece which is knitting up quite quickly.

Rounded-Yoke Cropped Cardigan

See, I have been knitting and finishing what I have started. That is always a good thing, right?

If you have not noticed, many of my knitting projects are in the fall colorway...year round. I need to break that habit, which is hard, as these colors are my favorite and they are what I tend to wear....year round.

That being said, I added some very basic (child-like) embroidery to the right side of the yoke.

I like how it has turned out...the overall project! I did not think I would get to this point with this sweater...but I am so happy I did.

Next colorway for the Wicked Eyelet Vest is in Royal Plum...and I have some very pretty Bamboo/Wool in a Red.

Stepping outside of my color-box!

V-Day Goodies

Stopped over at Michelle's for an hour today. We exchanged some Valentine Day presents and this is what I brought home. Except for the yummy Ghiraredelli Chocolate Square, all of the other goodies were purchased on Etsy.com.

The cutest little "Hand Knit For You" tags, which by the way, I told her I was a selfish knitter and would not be using those adorable tags to gift to someone. Some fun stitch markers in non-Clover colorways. Yah! A postcard that was from the maker of the gift tags. The cutest sheep cards, that I will most likely frame instead of mail out. Hey, what can I say...I'm selfish about sheep too!

The weather has been fantastic...so much so, that Michelle and I have been working in our individual gardens and posting lots of things over at our other blog that we share, The File Mile Furrow. Check it out!

Been there....

Now done with that! "That" would be my Customer Service class.

I can now go back to my favorites: knitting, gardening, spinning, dyeing, baking, embroidery, and excellent fictional books to read.

Hooyah!

Ok...at least until April...then on to another English class!

Dressed up to blog...

A new adventure into blog layouts.

Thanks to Michelle, for not laughing too loudly, when I had that dumb, i-cord look on my face when I just did not "get it" about the layouts. How simple...it was like trying on dresses, put one on, take a look at it, rip it off and start again.

At least for now I will stay with this one...I did try on quite a few.

Knit, note, clicking away on a boat!

Ahoy, Matey!
Met up with my Ft. Worden knitting buddies for an hour today. Did not stay long as youngest DD was with me, having just been to the dentist. What a lovely day for knitting on the water.
The beauty of being a knitter, you can knit ANYWHERE!

Spring Green

Finished last night. My Spring Green from yarn I purchased at the DeStash sale at Ft. Worden last November. This will be great with a t-shirt and a skirt come spring.

What shopping?

I did not know if I was going to go to Madrona today. I was winging it! After our bi-weekly knitting meetup at the local coffeeshop with Michelle, Darlene, Mary, and myself, I following Mary back to her house in Tacoma and then drove us down to the Madrona Fibre Arts Retreat to see what the vendors were up to.

I was just going to buy the square dpn's. Then I saw the beautiful roving in a green with tweed flecks consisting of corriedale, tussah silk and silk noil. Then I saw the size 10 & 12 dent reeds for my Cricket loom. Enough I said. The guilt wasn't quite up to my face yet. We headed over to the Crown Moutain Farms, where we chatted with Klause Kronenberg for a bit and of course, I purchased that lovely light purples colorway of BFL roving. Now the guilt of spending was on my shoulder. It all ended when I purchased the Oxford Punch Needle for rug hooking, a hoop lap stand and monks cloth. Cha-ching Mary just looked at me, saw my face and said: "Don't feel guilty."

I don't and I do. At least I had saved that crisp $100 bill that my MIL sent me for Christmas mid-December. That covered just under half of the cost.

Whew...I have a sweater to finish...slinking off.

Can you guess?

What do you see in this picture?
My order arrived today from KnitPicks.
I will be able to complete my Round Yoke Cropped Caridgan.
What don't you see?
Let's just say, I won't be able to return one of these skeins as it did NOT come with a label.
I called customer service as soon as I opened the box.
No label floating around the box or in the bag.
How did the person packing the order not see that?
At least it didn't take a full two weeks to arrive.'
I will be keeping an eye on future shipments.
A small thing, but...very important for a knitter.
Labels mean everything!

Interweave Knits 2009

The preview is available for viewing and I can say...I'm very happy with what I am seeing.

As other knitters have posted, there have been some "not-so-great" issues these past few years, so with fingers crossed, I hope this one will not fall into that category.

Well....

Not like Michelle and I don't have enough to do, we started another blog together.

Check out The Five Mile Furrow!

I know, I know, shameless advertising I am doing to get you to go to another blog.

But don't let my flaunting stop you....go take a look.

Only one post so far, but Michelle did a great job on the backgroud.

I LOVE plaid.
