Holiday Secret Pal

We are having a Holiday Secret Pal exchange at work, from Nov. 25 to Dec. 18th, for those of us that wanted to join in on the fun. We drew names today. I got Pam. Yeah! She love dragonflies, so I came home after class and whipped this little home-grown lavender hanging sachet up to leave on her desk tomorrow. Well, whipping sounds a bit quick. This took me a good 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. I love hand embroidery and Jeanne's technique is awesome for doing such.
Hope she likes it!

So near....

to the end of this quarter.

It is amazing the things I have missed. My husband asked me tonight, "What will you do with yourself when classes are done?" Hmmm, knit. Plan, knit, plan some more knitting. Get ready for the holidays, not that we do a whole lot. Get ready for my next class in January. It is an online class, so I can read the computer and knit at the same time. Very nice.

Tonight I realized that Blogger has some new, improved, and updated tools. I am asking myself why I ever went over to Wordpress for that brief span of time. I did that with both my knitting blog and my podcast blog. I am very thankful that I never deleted my original blogs here on Blogger. For once, I was ahead of hind-sight.

On the needles: a striped, curvy vest. Making it up as I go. Writing it down, to beat hind-sight again!

Finshed and a removal

000_0002

I finished the pair of Mountain Color Socks in the Mountolive Socks pattern from the Jo Sharp Book Two I got from Jeanne. On my feet as I type.

Removed five pounds since joining the gym. Watching my food behavior and doing pretty darn good.

Now playing...

Rumors, the play by Neil Simon.

I took lil' K with me to see the final night at her high school.

Adorable production. Lots of laughs and worth the few dollars spent.

It has been many years since I have been to the theatre.

I was in theatre myself back in high school.

I was Margo in Onions in the Stew and Mrs. Higgins in Forty-five Minutes from Broadway.

Before lil K was born, I took my first two to the Children's productions at the local downtown Pantages. Lil' K now wants to go see The Lion King production for her birthday up in Seattle, in March. Hmmm, now to find tickets.
