Old fashioned stitchin'

I'm working by day on the Nederland Vest and sometimes at night. A bit of old fashioned stitchin' has been going on too, when I'm not in class. The towel with the pumpkins is for a Fall swap and the two holly towels are for Christmas presents. Oh, only another 25 or so towels to go. Good thing Christmas is three months away!

Rainy Day Crafts

It's been a soft, cool drizzle all day. Not an eventful day, but a decent dinner was cooked (meatloaf, Yukon gold potatoes, corn and Texas Toast), a batch of chocolate/butterscotch chip cookies and this felted wool needle holder I made for my co-worker, Lisa.

Lisa is a wonderful crafter. She's not into knitting, but can she do some beautiful projects with an embroidery and quilting needle.

Lisa shared some vintage bobbins that were filled with thread and a huge vintage cone of thread, which feels like a button hole thread. I, in turn, wanted to share something with her.

What better than to give a gift she can use in her crafting!

Goodies in the post box

Thank you to my secret pal 12. Look at all this lovely Twizzler goodness. Also included in the package was 4 oz. of Blue Face Leicester handdyed roving, tea, Hershey's pencils and a nice card.

Thank you. Time soon to reveal who you are!

Since....

I'm on to a new project while I wait for the voting of the patterns on our Sleeves Off and Buttons On group over at Ravelry.

You can also check out our supplemental blog over here! See how Michelle and I are taking over the knitting world! (scroll to bottom) Bwahahahahaha!

I'm knitting up the Nederland Vest! I love fair isle and argyle is a favorite of mine...why not combine the two. I had plenty of yarn that will go together, somewhat, to make this, all for me, all mine.
On another note: The phone book is here, the phone book is here...not really. But the annual registration for Ft. Worden Knitting Retreat landed in my post office box today. Hip-hip-horray!
